Privacy Policy

How we handle your data.

Plain English. No dark patterns. Your notes are processed in isolation, deleted within 24 hours of delivery, and never used for anything other than your migration.

Who we are

Evernote Migration ("we", "us", "our") provides done-for-you migration of Evernote archives into other note-taking platforms. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it. It applies to evernotemigration.com and the related upload subdomain at upload.evernotemigration.com.

What we collect

  • Order details — your name, email address, chosen plan, and destination platform, submitted via our order form.
  • Payment metadata — Stripe customer ID, transaction reference, and amount. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles payment data directly under their own security certifications.
  • Your Evernote archive — the .enex export file you upload after payment.
  • Standard server logs — IP address and request timestamp for the upload page, retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention.

How we use it

  • To convert your archive into your chosen destination format and deliver it back to you.
  • To send you order confirmations, the delivery email, and the deletion confirmation.
  • To respond to support requests you initiate.
  • To meet tax, accounting, or legal obligations.

What we do not do

  • We do not read, open, index, scan, or analyse the contents of your notes.
  • We do not use your notes (or any portion of them) to train AI or machine-learning models, ours or anyone else's.
  • We do not sell, share, rent, or syndicate your data to any third party for marketing, analytics, or any other commercial purpose.
  • We do not retain your file or its working copies after delivery.

How long we keep things

  • Your .enex file and all working copies — permanently destroyed within 24 hours of successful delivery. You receive a deletion confirmation email when this completes.
  • Order metadata (name, email, plan, dates) — retained for 12 months for tax, refund, and dispute records, then deleted.
  • Stripe payment records — retained by Stripe under their own retention policies; we cannot override these but we do not access them once the order is delivered.

Subprocessors we rely on

We use a small set of trusted infrastructure providers to deliver the service. None of them have access to your file contents beyond what is strictly required.

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Cloudflare R2 — encrypted object storage where your .enex lives during the migration window.
  • Cloudflare Workers — the upload endpoint and Stripe redirect logic.
  • Web3Forms — form-submission relay used to deliver order details and upload notifications to our internal inbox.

Security

All file uploads are encrypted in transit via TLS and land in an access-controlled bucket. Conversion and quality-assurance work is performed on isolated, operator-only workstations with no third-party software integrations that could exfiltrate your content.

Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or to request its deletion at any time. To exercise either right, email contact@evernotemigration.com. We respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority.

Cookies

The marketing site does not set any tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The order form remembers nothing between sessions. Stripe and Cloudflare set their own strictly-necessary cookies during the payment and upload steps; you can review their policies on their respective websites.

Children

Our service is not directed at users under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our infrastructure is operated by Cloudflare and Stripe, both of which run global networks. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We rely on the data-protection safeguards each provider has in place for international transfers.

Changes to this policy

We will post any material changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date. Significant changes affecting how we handle existing customer data will also be notified by email.
